Troubleshooting
Answers to common errors you may experience while using Arcticons.
Shuffled icons on an Oppo/ ColorOS phone
There's this weird bug that shuffles all your icons when using icon packs in combination with a ColorOS phone. Follow these steps to fix it:
Open Settings
Navigate to 'App management'
Navigate to 'App list', search and select 'System Launcher'
Select 'Storage usage'
Press on 'Clear cache'
Samsung One UI
To use Arcticons (and other icon packs) on your Samsung device you have to install the Theme Park companion app from the Galaxy Store.
Inside the Theme Park app:
Tap "Icon"
Tap "Create New"
Tap the blue "Iconpack" button
Choose Arcticons from the list
Repeat these steps each time you update Arcticons (or install a new app), new icons won't be mapped automatically.
Material You colors aren't updating
Colors might not update when you change your wallpaper or switch to dark mode. This is something that your launcher controls and changes. Most of them handle it differently, sometimes you might have to reapply the icon pack in order for it to work. Check the Supported Launchers to see more details.
Manually selected icons don't follow the Material You color schemes
This is because most launchers create a static image from the icon when you select it. Sadly, there's nothing we can't do about it. So, we suggest letting the launcher developers know that you want this feature.
Calendar icons aren't working
This is because your launcher (probably Microsoft or Open Launcher) doesn't support dynamic calendar icons. Check the Supported Launchers page for alternatives.
Clock widget doesn't open clock app
This happens in old versions of the app, so make sure to update to the latest possible version.
Icons appearing blank on Lineage 18
This is a still unfixed bug from LineageOS. There's sadly nothing to do about it besides switching to a different launcher. Check the Supported Launchers page for alternatives.
Graphene OS, LineageOS and other stock launchers
Graphene OS doesn't have any support for Arcticons or other icon packs out of the box. We can't do anything about that, and we suggest leaving feedback to the developers of the project instead. Check the Supported Launchers page for alternatives.
Is there a difference between the Google Play version and others?
Yes. Due to Google's policies, we aren't allowed to have an explicit donate button that links to other sites. The releases from F-Droid, Accrescent & GitHub do have donate buttons.
